In 1998 it was decided that additional
work should be carried out to bring the West Burra,
East Burra and Trondra survey in to line with the
definition set by Historic Scotland. Accordingly,
the areas were rapidly re-surveyed, this time examining
a wider coastal strip and recording details of the
geology.
